Uniforms and Caps
Team Caps will be distributed tomorrow prior to pictures. All swimmers will receive one team cap. Additional caps may be purchased for $10.00. Please contact Kim Averill or another board member if you are interested in purchasing an additional cap.
Team Warm-ups will be distributed to those swimmers who are borrowing one for the season tomorrow prior to pictures. Please note these are numbered warm-ups and in new condition. Please do NOT write your name on these borrowed warm-ups. Swimmers will be asked to sign out their warm-up tomorrow, and are expected to return the same warm-up, in the same condition, at the end of the season. Failing to return the warm-up will result in an obligation at the school and will need to be satisfied prior to your participation in another high school sport.
For those who ordered team uniforms, warm-ups, and spirit wear, we will deliver those items to you at a practice prior to the first meet. We will have a warm-up jacket for you to borrow tomorrow for pictures. Please remember to wear jeans and a white t-shirt for pictures.
Transportation (very important and new for 2016 season)
In the past we have had a sign-out sheet for swimmers who wish to ride home from meets with their family. This procedure has changed.
When bus transportation is provided to a swim meet, it is expected that swimmers will ride the bus to the meet. It is also expected that swimmers will return to the school on the bus. ***This season***Parents who wish to take their swimmer home from the meet must email the athletic director, Christ Hunter, at least 24 hours before the event. There are rare occasions a swimmer will not ride the bus to the meet, i.e., testing before Dover, Mr. Hunter must be notified in these instances, too. This must be done for each meet so please do not send him an email with multiple dates. Be sure to get those Dover requests to him by Wednesday next week. His email is email@example.com
Finally, under no circumstances is another parent or student allowed to take a child home from a meet. Only parents or guardians are allowed to take their own children home. Mr. Hunter will issue an “approved to ride home with guardian list” to the coaches prior to each meet. Only those swimmers may leave with their parents. It is expected that all other swimmers will ride the bus back to the school.
